Join the Green United Sponsored Bike Ride 2026!

The Green United Sponsored Bike Ride is back for 2026, and this year participants will be cycling to support an important cause chosen by the Youth Board.

Over the past four years, money raised through the sponsored ride has supported a range of local initiatives, including bicycle safety training and Love Our Ouse. This year, the Youth Board has decided to focus fundraising efforts on one of their recent “Big Asks” – tackling the issue of cigarette butt littering in our community.

Funds raised will help provide professionally designed posters and stickers created by Youth Board members to raise awareness about cigarette butt pollution. The money will also contribute towards improved cigarette butt disposal bins, helping to reduce litter and protect our local environment.

Event Details

The 9-mile return ride is organised by Green United in collaboration with Cycle Lewes and Dr Bike Lewes.

Date: Saturday 19 July 2026
Start Time: 2:15pm
Starting Point: Linklater Pavilion, Lewes

Riders will travel to Rodmell Community Hall, arriving between 2:45pm and 3:00pm, where refreshments, including cake and biscuits, will be provided before the return journey.

The ride is expected to finish back at the Linklater Pavilion between 4:00pm and 4:30pm.
